The Petaluma National Little League team returned home to Northern California and a heroes welcome at the Sonoma-Marin Fairgrounds where an estimated crowd of 1500 fans, along with Network news vans and media, turned out to greet them. After a formal presentation before the gathering, followed by fan autographs and interviews with reporters, team manager, Eric Smith, gathered the players for some final private words before they finally head home to get some much deserved rest.
